A traditional Lakeland cottage built about 1870, the Whitehouse has been furnished with every attention to detail. Antiques and fine furnishings create an ambience of comfort and well-being for our guests.

Private parking at the rear of the house is an essential for a hassle free break, especially in the busy season!

Situated in a quiet residential area, close to Keswick town centre with its many attractions and yet only a few minutes from the outstanding beauty of Derwentwater where you can sit and appreciate the fells surrounding or take a ferry to one of the jetties and start a walk to Catbells or Ashness Bridge or one of the other famous landmarks.

The town has a variety of pubs, restaurants and teashops to suit most people as well as shops, museums and several galleries. As it sometimes rains in Keswick there are lots of indoor facilities, the leisure pool, our new Theatre by the Lake, the cinema, and for card players, several bridge clubs where visitors are warmly welcomed.

Keswick is only a few miles from all the other beauty spots in the Lakes, Grasmere, Windermere and Ullswater so why not make the Whitehouse your base for a most relaxing or invigorating short break? We can promise you personal attention, excellent breakfasts and extremely comfortable beds.
