Jim Taylor who runs the White House with his wife Joan, is an accomplished watercolour artist and sells his paintings and prints to galleries and shops around the North of England. He is always happy to give advice to aspiring painters or just discuss techniques with like-minded guests.

Watendlath, a picturesque hamlet down Borrowdale is only 15 minutes drive from the White House. There is a lovely cafe where you can feed the birds and a beautiful tarn.
